Swedish Ranked Thailand As Top Holiday Destination

Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) said its Asia-Pacific Tourism Forecasts 2007-2009 showed eighteen Asia-Pacific destinations are expected to gain more than US$110 billion in tourism revenue over the next three years, with Thailand as the biggest gainer of nearly US$13 billion by 2009.

According to the results from Asia Travel Intentions Survey 2007, Thailand is marked as the most likely destination for holiday by 84 percent of Swedish respondents. Coming up short is Malaysia which is expected to earn about US$11 billion.

   Other markets such as South Korea, China and Macau are expected to grow by US$7 billion, US$36 billion and US$5 billion respectively.
